| 12+ | Cook a simple dinner, mow, clean a bathroom, plan a grocery list |
Define done, per job
Write one line per job. "Room is done when the floor is clear, the bed is made and dirty clothes are in the hamper." Kids argue less with a sentence than with a vibe.
Decide which list each job goes on
Many families separate every-day jobs (clearing your plate) from earning jobs (extra work that pays). There is no single right answer; the point is that everyone knows.
Charts for each age group
The Family Chore and Reward Kit has separate charts for ages 3 to 6, 7 to 11 and 12+, so siblings each get one that fits.
